Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Invest in Women conference in my old stomping grounds: beautiful West Palm Beach! This event brought together a diverse group of financial advisors, industry leaders, amazing women, and expert speakers, all united by a common goal: to revolutionize the financial advisory landscape and better serve female clients.
I mean just check out the line-up of speakers here: https://faconferences.com/iiw24/speakers/
Kudos to the event's organizers, staff, and to the chairwoman, Antoinette Rodriguez, whom I had the pleasure of meeting! Their hard work and dedication made this conference a resounding success.
Throughout the conference, thought-provoking discussions, actionable insights, and invaluable networking opportunities provided the tools and knowledge necessary to usher in a new era of excellence in financial advisory services.
While it's hard to pick my favorite breakout session, a few stood out for me. One was the panel moderated by Dr. Carolyn McClanahan, where three amazing women—Catherine Burgess, Tina Powell, and Antoinette Rodriguez—shared their stories of surviving major illnesses and how advisors can help their clients navigate similar challenges. Their resilience and wisdom were truly inspiring.
Another highlight was the fireside chat with an incredible lineup of ladies: Tracey Longo (Washington Editor), Jenny Johnson (President & CEO of Franklin Templeton), Kristina Hooper (Chief Global Market Strategist of Invesco), and Moira McLachlan (Senior National Director of Alliance Bernstein). Their insights and experiences shed light on today's global economy.
Pictured here with me is financial planning star Michael Kitces, and his presentation was very informative, as usual.
One breakout session that I loved was "Bridging Generational Boundaries," where the amazing women, Becky Lightman, Lori Van Dusen, Danielle Darling and Lindsey Lewis, gave actionable items for connecting with clients across different generations. Thank you, Cheryl Canzanella, for making sure I attended this conference with you!
What truly sets the Invest in Women conference apart is its inclusivity. While the focus is on addressing the unique needs of female clients, the event welcomes and encourages participation from both women and men. By fostering collaboration and diverse perspectives, we can collectively create a more equitable and empowering financial future for all.
I left the conference feeling inspired, energized, and equipped with the skills to make a real difference in the lives of my clients. If you're a financial advisor looking to take your practice to the next level and better serve your female clientele, I highly recommend attending the next Invest in Women conference!
The Invest in Women conference is more than just an event; it's a movement. By empowering financial advisors to address the specific needs of female clients, we can create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the confines of the conference. Together, we can build a future where women are financially empowered, and their unique challenges are met with understanding, compassion, and expertise.
