A message from our guest speaker, Ms. Brooklyn Brock, CFP®, CEPA®, ChFC®, CKA®:

I started in the financial services industry working for my family’s Ameriprise practice straight out of college. After passing the Series 7, 66, and OK Insurance exams, I worked as an Associate Advisor for several years, supporting several hundred client relationships, servicing a few dozen retirement plans, and assisting with 2 business transitions with a retention rate of over 95%.

As a 3rd generation CFP, I wanted to challenge myself with new experiences and left the family firm to provide professional paraplanning for fee-only advisors, while I obtained the credentials of CFP®, CEPA®, ChFC®, and CKA®.

I served on the Tulsa Board of the Financial Planning Association for 5 years, including President for 1 year. I started the FPA NexGen chapter to support younger advisors. I’m currently a NAPFA Genesis member and an XYPN member.

Throughout my career, I found that advisors rarely do financial planning or retirement planning for themselves like they do for their clients, which drove me to launch Ellevate to serve advisors themselves. I often travel to speak at events on these topics, and recently was recognized as the 2021 NextGen Oklahoma award winner in Finance.

My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in International Business and Economics, a minor in Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in French, all from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. That’s why I designed Ellevate to operate remotely, so we can live and work in France for a few months every year.
